January 2020The Schäflein Group expands its product range in the area of express shipments: With the Schäflein Premium Service ‘Europe Express’, the service provider now also offers consolidated transport solutions for particularly time-critical freight shipments to European countries. The offer is valid from the start on January 13, 2020, for eight countries and will be gradually expanded throughout the year.
Alternative to Special Transport
The NextDay service in Europe Express provides a cost-effective and resource-saving alternative to traditional courier and special transport. For the handling of express shipments, Schäflein has strategically expanded its existing transport and partner network for regular traffic. The service can compete in terms of timing with courier transports, while leveraging existing infrastructure creates synergy effects that are reflected in reduced transport costs and CO2 savings compared to traditional special transport. “Not every urgent transport that is booked today as a special transport truly requires this service. Often, delivery the next day is sufficient, but the suitable option is simply missing – we want to fill this gap,” says Dörflein. With its offering, the service provider expands its product portfolio in international freight transport, thus providing its customers with various transport options from a single source.
Nationwide Freight Transport in Europe
To launch the service, Schäflein offers the premium service for particularly urgent shipments to neighboring countries France, Czech Republic, and Austria, as well as to Italy, Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Croatia. Throughout the year, the offer will be extended to other European countries and will also be available in procurement logistics.
