7. February 2020The HOYER Group has reached another milestone with the acquisition of the 50,000th Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC). The stainless steel containers are used for demanding products in the food, chemical, and cosmetics industries. In just five years, the IBC fleet of the Hoyer Group has more than doubled.
(Hamburg, 06.02.2020) The Hoyer Group specializes in the transport and handling of liquid goods. IBCs are used worldwide for both the transport and storage of demanding chemical products and food. They have a capacity of 500 to 1,110 liters and are primarily used by the food, chemical, and cosmetics industries in China, Europe, and the USA. At the turn of the year, the IBC fleet reached a milestone of 50,000 units. There is particularly high demand for heated IBCs for the food industry, cylindrical containers for the paint and coatings industry, and pressure vessels, known as Mini Pressure Tanks (MPT), for special chemicals. The robust stainless steel containers ensure consistent product quality even with long-term use, have a longer lifespan than plastic containers, and are also sustainable in their usage cycle. Hoyer has a global network that offers sterile cleaning of the containers. This guarantees higher product safety and purity – a service that is particularly in demand in the food sector.”The requirements for the equipment of IBCs are growing. We meet this not only with the appropriate equipment but also with comprehensive services that ensure the quality and safety of the product as well as efficient planning and provision.
