27. February 2020The Austrian logistics company Gebrüder Weiss has entered into an exclusive partnership with the Russian logistics provider JDE, thereby offering comprehensive freight transport services across Russia.
(Lauterach/Moscow, February 27, 2020) The international transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss, headquartered in Lauterach, Austria, is now offering its customers land transport services to all regions of Russia. The comprehensive delivery in the largest country in the world is ensured by its new exclusive partner JDE (Zheldor Ekspeditsiya). With 244 locations in Russia alone, the freight forwarding company JDE has one of the largest domestic networks in the country.
Established Transport Routes for Approximately 17 Million km² of Area
“Many of our international customers have now established their own production sites in Russia and are distributing there as well. Russia is a key market for Gebrüder Weiss and its customers due to its enormous size and geographical location – especially regarding the company’s Silk Road strategy, which focuses on expanding Central Asian locations and transport links between China and Europe. In southern countries such as Georgia, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and China, Gebrüder Weiss already has its own locations. In Russia, the logistics provider has been present since 2013 and currently operates three locations.
