5. March 2020The LBS – State Association of Bavarian Forwarders is pleased about the awarding of the International Motor Show to Munich and sees the auto show as a driving force for the entire mobility industry.
(Munich, 05.03.2020) The LBS – State Association of Bavarian Forwarders e.V. welcomes the announced move of the International Motor Show (IAA) to Munich starting in 2021. “Beyond the presentation of new vehicle models, the IAA is always a platform for communication, knowledge transfer, and ideas,” says LBS Managing Director Sabine Lehmann. “For the economic location of Munich and for the entire Free State, this presents an opportunity to showcase its performance and innovative strength to a broad, international professional audience. At the same time, new impulses will also flow here, which will create further opportunities for diversification and development in the transport sector.”From the LBS’s perspective, the offerings and impact of the IAA extend far beyond the topic of “automobile.” “The complexity of today’s transport structures no longer allows for such a singular perception – whether we think about mobility in the city or on highways,” comments Lehmann. “Any change in one mode of transport directly affects all others.” Against this background, strengthening the area of expertise in “mobility” in Munich and Bavaria is beneficial for all those directly and indirectly affected.”With the IAA and the trade fair transport logistic, two competence platforms for mobility will be present at Messe München in the future. This is a strong achievement of the fair and the state capital – and promises good conditions for substantive and thematic innovations,” says Lehmann.
