15. May 2020The medium-sized, owner-managed Reichhart Logistik GmbH has secured a total of four new contracts from various sectors during the crisis, amounting to a total of 4.7 million euros per year.
(Gilching, 14.05.2020) Despite the ongoing Corona crisis, Reichhart Logistik was able to secure four new contracts in the second quarter with a total volume of around 4.7 million euros per year. The logistics service provider is increasingly relying on its industry knowledge and experience to provide tailored logistics solutions to new clients from the textile trade as well as the steel and glass processing sectors, thereby expanding and strengthening its customer portfolio.
With the new contract wins, Reichhart is broadening its focus in terms of industries and clients. In addition to well-known clients from the aerospace, automotive, and food industries, Reichhart is now taking on a new contract from the steel industry and additional contracts from the textile and glass sectors. At the same time, Reichhart continues to expand its customer portfolio in the medium-sized business sector.
Logistics Services from Medium-Sized Businesses for Medium-Sized Businesses As an experienced expert in the medium-sized sector, Reichhart has gained three new clients from this segment. In the area of transport logistics, the traditional company will now realize optimization potentials for its clients and take over the daily distribution of goods, partly with a specialized fleet. The understanding of the products and the specific logistics requirements convinced the clients and secured the contract award.
“We have found that our medium-sized clients particularly appreciate communication on an equal footing and partnership-based business relationships just as much as we do,” says Michael Jackl, managing partner at Reichhart. “This makes our consulting services easier – allowing us to identify optimization potentials and realize them together with our clients.”
Reichhart also scored points in the contract award process with smart route planning and equipment tailored specifically to the goods being transported. This is an important factor, as the increasing complexity of their own supply chains and rising cost pressure pose significant challenges for medium-sized businesses. This is where Reichhart comes into play, taking on logistical tasks and standing by them as a reliable partner in the long term.
Customized Logistics Solutions for Large Contracts In addition to the new contracts from the medium-sized sector, Reichhart is pleased to welcome another client from the textile industry. For a well-known textile manufacturer, the logistics provider will take over the daily supply of 36 branches in southern Bavaria starting in July 2020. For this, Reichhart will carry out goods transport with a special long truck concept and a corresponding warehousing solution.
For this contract, the logistics service provider combines contract and transport logistics services. The goods will be transported from the client’s warehouses in Germany and Austria to the Reichhart logistics location, where they will be prepared for subsequent distribution tours.
“Through our holistic concept, which is tailored to the client’s supply chain, and the synergies of transport logistics and contract logistics solutions from a single source, we were ultimately able to put together a convincing package of offers and demonstrate added value,” explains Manuel Steil, project manager for sales strategy in transport and contract logistics.
