5. June 2020The marketing company Seaports of Niedersachsen has a new managing director, André Heim, since June 1st. He succeeds Timo Schön, who left the company at his own request.
(Oldenburg) The port marketing company “Seaports of Niedersachsen GmbH”, established in 2004, is a successful partnership between the private port industry in Lower Saxony and the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labour, Transport and Digitalisation.
Effective June 1, 2020, André Heim has taken over the management of Seaports of Niedersachsen GmbH. “I am looking forward to this new professional challenge and appreciate the trust of the supervisory board. Together with the Seaports team, I want to work intensively on the concerns of our nine Lower Saxony seaports. A new focus will be the digital further development of the umbrella brand Seaports of Niedersachsen for the global marketing of the seaports,” said Heim.
Supervisory Board Chairman Karsten Dirks emphasizes: “We are pleased to have found in André Heim a marketing expert with international experience within our ranks, who is well acquainted with the processes and has built a broad network within the port industry and politics during his time at Seaports.”
The 41-year-old business graduate is a native of Oldenburg and has been responsible for marketing and communication since November 2013. He has worked closely with management from the beginning and has significantly shaped the marketing of the Lower Saxony seaports. Before joining Seaports, André Heim worked for nearly 5 years as a marketing manager at the JadeWeserPort Realisierungsgesellschaft in Wilhelmshaven.
The previous managing director of Seaports of Niedersachsen GmbH, Timo Schön, has left the company at his own request as of May 31, 2020, and will take on a new professional role within the industry. In addition to André Heim, Felix Jahn will continue to serve as the second managing director, focusing on networking the marketing company, particularly between the Chamber of Industry and Commerce and political bodies. Jahn is the full-time managing director of transport at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Oldenburg.
