For example, we are currently modernizing our long-haul fleet to further reduce CO2 emissions,” Reckling continues. “We are pleased to support Ozeankind e.V. as the organization brings the topics of environment and plastic waste closer to children through innovative educational projects. Innovative ideas and forward-thinking approaches have also characterized DHL Express since 1969.”
In the past anniversary year, DHL Express launched the ‘DHL 1 Sneaker’ in collaboration with mybudapester.com, the retailer for designer brands. This limited yellow-red branded shoe was designed by sneaker icon Hikmet Sugoer based on his cult model ‘Sonra Proto’. The toe cap is made from recycled DHL Express shipping bags. The tag with the shoe’s numbering, called ‘Tag’, was made from the metal of a decommissioned DHL Express cargo plane.
