13. July 2020The Schwarzmüller Group is pleased to announce a major order from Gartner KG for 120 long semi-trailers. This is the largest order in Europe in this category. Delivery is expected to be completed by the end of August 2020.
(Freinberg/Lambach) The Schwarzmüller Group has received a large order for 120 Type-1 long semi-trailers made of lightweight construction. The vehicles were ordered by Gartner KG from Lambach (Upper Austria). “This is the largest order that has ever been placed in this segment in Europe,” said Schwarzmüller CEO Roland Hartwig during the announcement of this order today, Thursday, July 9, at the company headquarters in Freinberg near Schärding (Upper Austria).
Gartner KG, one of the largest transport companies in Europe, is using the already approved operation of long trucks in the 14.98-meter variant for the first time as a specialist in transport management. They ordered the vehicles in the MEGA version and in lightweight construction from Schwarzmüller. These are 1.3 meters longer than standard flatbed semi-trailers and have an interior height of 3 meters, but weigh 1,000 kilograms less than a standard vehicle. “The lightweight construction from Schwarzmüller is unique and offers us real advantages. We save more than 10 percent fuel per truck and also reduce CO2 emissions by the same amount,” emphasized Richard Gartner, managing partner of Gartner KG, during the handover of the first vehicles. The entire delivery will be completed by the end of August.
Trailers will be used in Germany
Hartwig sees the fact that they are now operating 120 Schwarzmüller long semi-trailers throughout Germany as further proof of trust from Gartner. The two family-owned companies, with a tradition of over 100 years, share a long partnership based on common values. “We share the ambition to deliver top performance and to live up to handshake quality,” emphasized CEO Hartwig. Thus, both companies have become market leaders in their segment.
