17. July 2020DB Schenker sends a message with the campaign #WeKeepEuropeMoving as Europe returns to normality after the crisis. The logistics provider aims to set an optimistic tone. 1,000 trucks have been branded across Europe with the new campaign.
(Essen/Frankfurt) Europe’s economy is revving up again. As a strong partner during the Corona crisis, DB Schenker is now simplifying the fresh start for European companies with its dense network of branches. This message is at the heart of the new Europe-wide multimedia campaign, for which the logistics provider has branded 1,000 trucks in its fleet with the hashtag #WeKeepEuropeMoving.
“We are Europeans, and we have been living what Europe stands for for years,” says Helmut Schweighofer, CEO of the Europe region at DB Schenker. As the largest European logistics provider, the company operates the densest network of branches on the continent with 430 land transport offices.
“We want Europe and our customers to emerge from the crisis stronger, and we want to support them with all our strength and expertise. We have done our homework and strengthened our processes and structures,” says Schweighofer.
Optimization and Continuity Ensure Operations
The logistics provider has also maintained its investment plans during the crisis. This has paid off: “We have always been operational and provided our customers with full service, even when the borders were closed,” says Cyrille Bonjean, Executive Vice President Land Transport Europe. Information tools specifically developed for the crisis situation ensured that customers could always keep track of their goods and plan ahead, even at the peak of the crisis. Digital contactless processes guarantee secure delivery even beyond the crisis.
Even during the lockdown, DB Schenker launched new logistics centers in several European countries. In the meantime, the System Premium product has also resumed operations, a service with a money-back guarantee for delays.
DB Schenker Campaign for the New Normal
“Now we want to set a sign. Europe must return to a new, safe business operation. We will contribute to this. And our campaign communicates this very clearly. Across Europe,” says Bonjean.
The employees, drivers, and their trucks are the heroes of the DB Schenker campaign. They share posts on social media, in emailings, and video spots about their activities during the lockdown. More than 1,000 of the 31,000 DB Schenker trucks that operate daily in Europe carry the WeKeepEuropeMoving hashtag. “We are well prepared and gladly take on our responsibility for the future of Europe. And that is also what we communicate,” says Cyrille Bonjean.
