(St. Gallen/Basel). This year’s Supply Innovation Day (SCID) was originally scheduled to take place on April 22. Due to Corona, it has been postponed to November 26, 2020. This does not change the exciting and educational program of this event.
The motto of the event is: ‘Supply Chain Management in Challenging Times – Cost Reductions and Efficiency Increases through Innovations’. The focus of the interactive event is on the participants, who are invited in advance to actively shape the day. Integrated into the event are several workshops, especially in the afternoon.
Start-ups with their own session
In a dedicated session titled: ‘Supply Chain Speed Dating – Start-ups meet Supply Chain Corporates’, start-ups have the opportunity to introduce themselves in a short pitch. In a ‘speed dating format’, start-ups will be able to exchange ideas with experienced professionals from the industry. A job fair for students at the beginning of their careers will also be offered.
At the beginning and at the end of the event, two keynotes await the participants. Markus Streckeisen, Head of Sales & Chief Transformation Officer at SBB Cargo, has chosen the title: ‘Balancing Act between Innovation, Optimization, and Stability of the Logistics Chain’, and Hakan Bicil, International CEO at Imperial Logistics International, will speak on ‘From Flame to Fire – Becoming a Digital Dragon’.
The event is definitely to take place live
The organizers hope that this time the event can take place. Professor Wolfgang Stölzle from the organizing Institute for Supply Chain Management states: ‘The event is definitely to take place live, that is our great endeavor. Of course, we will adhere to the regulations for events in the canton of St. Gallen and ensure comprehensive safety for the participants’.
Loginfo24 will comprehensively cover the event in the media. Interesting innovations and ideas will be presented. In advance, during, and after the event, Loginfo24 will report in several specials about the event and its content.
Even as a start-up, Loginfo24 will take the opportunity to present itself at the Supply Chain Innovation Day.
