DKV Launches New Telematics System DKV LIVE

DKV Euro Service launches a new telematics system called DKV Live. This includes Track&Trace as well as an ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) according to driving and rest times, as well as efficient route and fuel stop planning. The data can be tracked in real-time on a LIVE portal.

(Ratingen) The mobility service provider DKV is launching a fully-fledged telematics system with numerous additional features today with DKV LIVE. Track&Trace and Estimated Time of Arrival services provide users with real-time transparency along the supply chain – taking into account the individual driving and rest times of the driver. In addition, DKV LIVE offers efficient route planning based on high-quality map material from Here. The route planning considers the fuel level of the truck and any customer-specific discounts when selecting the nearest and cheapest gas station.

Connect Box to FM Interface

To do this, a box the size of a pack of tissues needs to be connected to the FM interface (Fleet Management interface) in the vehicle. This provides the necessary information, which can then be transmitted and processed via the cloud. All data is accessible in real-time through the DKV LIVE portal. “DKV LIVE establishes digital solutions that we already know as standard from the B2C sector, now also in the B2B segment for our customers,” says Marco van Kalleveen, CEO of DKV Mobility. “This includes real-time tracking of deliveries and fleets. New services such as the precise determination of the estimated arrival time can significantly increase transparency in the logistics business, effectively reduce costs, and save CO emissions.”

Numerous expansions for DKV LIVE are planned for the second half of the year. Then drivers and dispatchers will be able to communicate via the DKV LIVE app, and DKV LIVE will gradually be developed into a comprehensive portal solution for intelligent fleet management.
