28. August 2020The Jentsch Logistik GmbH, Cologne, which is already part of the Gras Group, will be renamed Gras Logistik GmbH on September 1st. At the same time, the hall space will be expanded to 10,000 m2. This will enhance Gras’s capabilities in Cologne and allow it to offer an improved service to its customers.
(Neuwied) On September 1, 2020, the Jentsch Logistik GmbH (Cologne), which has been part of the Gras Group (Neuwied) since 2007, will be renamed Gras Logistik GmbH. This change is part of the expansion of the hall space to 10,000 sqm following the contractual departure of the previous subtenant. This gives the IDS partner Gras and regional freight forwarder for Cologne and the surrounding area sufficient capacity – both for the increased shipment volume and for further growth.
“With the expansion of our logistics facility in Cologne, we significantly improve our performance and can offer our customers in the greater Cologne area an optimal service package and comprehensive service,” says Madeleine Boos, Managing Director of the Gras Group. The service package of the Gras Group at its five logistics locations in Neuwied, Ötzingen (Westerwald), Cologne, Mannheim, and Ötigheim ranges from general cargo to partial and full loads as well as sea and air freight to contract logistics.
Response to Growth and Customer Needs
“With a total of 42,800 sqm of land, 10,000 sqm of covered transshipment area, and 120 gates, we can respond even better and more flexibly to the increasing customer needs and growth,” says Andreas Teichhof, Managing Director of Jentsch Logistik GmbH since April 2020 and soon of Gras Logistik GmbH. Up to 3,000 shipments are transshipped here daily.
Conveniently located directly on the A4 motorway, Gras Logistik and the “regional IDS leader” at the Cologne Eifeltor have been serving an area from Bedburg to Dahlem and from Aachen to Lohmar for over 13 years. The customers mainly include companies from the paper industry, the DIY and home improvement sector, the consumer goods industry, and hygiene product manufacturers.
