10. September 2020Katharina Rath has been appointed as the new Chief Human Resources Officer at Schenker. She will take up her position on December 1, 2020, joining Schenker from Continental Automotive Technologies. With Katharina Rath, DB Schenker aims to further enhance its attractiveness as an employer.
(Essen) The Supervisory Board of Schenker AG has appointed Katharina Rath as the new Chief Human Resources Officer. The 47-year-old will assume her new position on December 1, 2020. Ms. Rath has worked for nearly 20 years in various positions at Continental Automotive Technologies, most recently as Senior Vice President Human Relations, Automotive Technologies and Holistic Engineering & Technologies, and as a member of the Automotive Board. She studied psychology at the University of Regensburg and is a licensed psychologist.
“Katharina Rath is an internationally experienced expert in various areas of human resources. The Supervisory Board and I are very pleased to have gained her talent, knowledge, and leadership strength for the board of DB Schenker,” said Dr. Levin Holle, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schenker AG.

Ms. Rath succeeds Thomas Schulz, who will conclude his mandate at DB Schenker on October 31, 2020, after eight years as Chief Human Resources Officer and the expiration of his regular appointment period. “On behalf of the entire board, I would like to thank Thomas Schulz for his successful work at DB Schenker. Over the past eight years, he has dedicated himself with great commitment to the HR area. We wish him all the best for his future endeavors,” said Jochen Thewes.
