15. October 2020Dr. Michael Siebdrath joins Logivest GmbH on October 1, 2020, and will be Head of Letting Berlin and Leipzig. The consulting services in East Germany will thus be sustainably expanded. At the same time, a new location in Leipzig is in planning.
(Munich) – Dr. Michael Siebdrath, former board member of the project developer metaWERK, joins Logivest GmbH on October 1, 2020. The nationwide consulting company focusing on logistics properties and locations plans to further expand the regions around Leipzig, Berlin, and Magdeburg with Siebdrath on board.
Over the past ten years, the native Saxon has developed locations for logistics and industry in Leipzig and the surrounding area – first as a project developer and managing director of the metaWERK project companies, later as a board member of metaWERK AG. Now, as the new Head of Letting Berlin and Leipzig, he will be responsible for expanding the consulting business in Berlin and building a location in Leipzig in the long term.
New Construction Volume in East Germany Increases Significantly
While the logistics region of Berlin has been one of the top locations in Germany for many years, the Leipzig/Halle region is also increasingly becoming one of the hot spots. “In the first half of 2020, the new construction volume in the Leipzig logistics region was quadrupled compared to last year’s half-year result. We are even more pleased that we were able to win a regional expert like Dr. Siebdrath for us. Together with him, we want to further establish ourselves in the region and build our own location,” says Kuno Neumeier, CEO of Logivest.
As a board member of metaWERK AG, Siebdrath has developed pioneering projects such as the metaWERK Zwickau or Chemnitz. In his new role as Head of Letting, he is particularly excited about the complexity. “Different industries, various demands – I look forward to applying my know-how about the market and the needs in the region now on the consulting side,” says Dr. Michael Siebdrath. In his new position, Siebdrath reports directly to Michael Starre, CSO at Logivest.
