Weber Data Service participated in the first virtual commercial vehicle trade fair Nfz-Messe.com and presented the new Android app WDS.app OTS from September 24 to October 8, which supports freight handling and warehouse revision. Another highlight was the new version 20.2 of the integrated transport and warehouse management system DISPONENTplus.

(Bielefeld) – The WDS.app OTS was specifically developed for freight handling and warehouse revision. OTS stands for Online Transshipment Scanning and enables graphically supported processes via smartphone or scanner. The clear interfaces with well-structured menu items guide the employee safely through the various work steps and ensure error-free processes. Operation is via touch screen or function keys. The app minimizes recording and communication times and increases data availability. The current work or scan progress is color-coded. The graphical representation provides a clear documentation of the goods flows.

New Version with Extended Interface

The new version 20.2 of DISPONENTplus now features an extended interface to the route optimization software ORD from Ortec. This allows fleet, company, and driver master data to be transmitted directly from DISPONENTplus to ORD and automatically considered in route planning. The master data continues to be created and maintained in DISPONENTplus. Updates can be sent to ORD at the push of a button.

Sanctions List Check Can Prevent Expensive Fines

Another innovation concerns the sanctions list check, which allows freight forwarders to protect themselves from severe penalties: Fines of up to 500,000 EUR or imprisonment for up to 15 years threaten those who violate the anti-terrorism regulations of the EU, USA, China, or other nations. Business contacts with sanctioned individuals, organizations, and associations are not allowed, which also includes the transport and storage of goods. In this context, shippers and freight forwarders must continuously check their business addresses, which can only be done automatically due to numerous lists and daily updates. To facilitate this task, DISPONENTplus now lists all addresses with compliance suspicion that have been filtered out due to their similarity or match with a sanctions list entry.
