Oct 16, 2020 at 3:30 PMThe mobility service provider DKV Euro Service GmbH + Co. KG has recently expanded its LNG acceptance network to 100 stations, reaching an important milestone. The network now spans six European countries, making DKV the provider of the largest LNG acceptance network in all of Europe.
(Ratingen) – Liquefied natural gas produces 28 percent less CO2 emissions than conventional fuels. Many countries therefore offer tax advantages to carriers using LNG. This alternative fuel is increasingly attracting the interest of European freight forwarders. “With the expansion of our LNG acceptance network to 100 stations, we can offer our customers, especially in the heavy-duty and long-distance segment, a sustainable alternative to conventional fuels.
Goal: Leading Provider of Sustainable Mobility Services
Through the continuous expansion of our supply network with a strong focus on multi-energy filling stations, we aim to become the leading provider of sustainable mobility solutions,” says Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV Mobility.
Depending on national legislation, drivers must undergo a registration and certification process for LNG refueling. At many LNG partners, drivers can also familiarize themselves with the safe execution of LNG refueling through e-learning. DKV Mobility connects around 5,000 filling stations across Europe each year and has recently expanded its total network to over 60,000 stations.
