21. October 2020Transport and Logistics Sector Benefits from E-Commerce
22. October 2020“Germany in Crisis. Good? – Good!“ is the motto of the annual congress of the Club of Logistics, which will take place on November 9 and 10 at the Hotel de Rome in Berlin. Managing Director Peter H. Voß is determined to hold the event as an in-person gathering, Corona or not. Of course, a safety concept exists and regulations will be adhered to.
(Dortmund/Berlin) The Club of Logistics is a club of visionaries. Founded in 2003, the members primarily focus on strategies for how logistics can continuously renew itself and adapt to changing circumstances.
The members consist mainly of executives from the logistics industry, predominantly from Germany and from medium-sized companies. There are also a few representatives from Austrian and Swiss firms. Representing the members of three Swiss companies, Dr. Christian Baur, CEO of Swisslog AG, states: “I inherited the club membership from my predecessor. I look forward to the events, which always provide a wealth of knowledge, and to the exchange with other club members.”
Highlights include two annual congresses that serve as a think tank, discussion forum, and networking platform for the logistics industry and representatives from business, politics, and society.
Congress on November 9/10 in Berlin

Peter H. Voß, Managing Director of the Club of Logistics
Like all event organizers during this time, the current year has been challenging for the Club of Logistics. Regarding this, Peter H. Voß, Managing Director of the Club of Logistics, says: “The first congress of this year (originally scheduled for April 20/21, 2020, in Rotterdam) was canceled due to Corona, but we want to hold the congress in Berlin as an in-person event. It is clear that appropriate safety measures will be taken and regulations will be followed.”
One cannot influence the constantly changing travel regulations. Many companies have also implemented strict regulations for the travel activities of their employees, including executives. However, it still takes courage from such organizers to show that they are fighting for a piece of normality even in these times.
Exciting Program
An exciting program awaits participants at this event as well. Under the congress motto “Germany in Crisis. Good? – Good!” well-known figures from logistics and science, as well as doctors and publishers, will present to the participants. Most of the lectures and discussion panels will revolve around whether the crisis is an opportunity, how to confront it, and what can be learned from it. The focus is not only on logistics but also on topics from society and politics.
The event is also open to third parties.
