22. October 2020Lufthansa Cargo AG has published its winter flight schedule for its cargo aircraft. From its home hub in Frankfurt am Main (FRA), the carrier will serve numerous destinations worldwide in the coming half-year, thus keeping international supply chains running.
(Frankfurt am Main) – “We are pleased to offer our customers a comprehensive and dense network of cargo connections once again in the coming half-year. It perfectly complements the approximately 150 global destinations that we can offer our customers through the cargo holds of Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, and SunExpress. To optimally meet demand, we will flexibly manage our freighters in the coming months,” said Dorothea von Boxberg, Board Member for Product and Sales at Lufthansa Cargo.
35 Cargo Connections per Week to Asia
On average, there are 35 connections per week with cargo aircraft between Europe and Asia. Key destinations include the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai (PVG), the South Korean capital of Seoul (ICN), Japan’s capital Tokyo (NRT), and the Special Administrative Region of Hong Kong (HKG). Also on the schedule are China’s capital Beijing (PEK) and the western Chinese metropolis of Chengdu (CTU), as well as several destinations in India, including Mumbai (BOM), Hyderabad (HYD), Chennai (MAA), and Bangalore (BLR). Additionally, the Japanese metropolitan area of Osaka (KIX), the Thai capital Bangkok (BKK), the Vietnamese metropolis Ho Chi Minh City (SGN), and the Uzbek capital Tashkent (TAS) are also served.
34 Times per Week to North America
The freighters operate on a scheduled basis 34 times per week between Europe and North America. Chicago (ORD), New York (JFK), Los Angeles (LAX), and Atlanta (ATL) are among the most frequently served airports, along with Houston (IAH), Seattle (SEA), and Dallas (DFW) in the United States, Mexico City (MEX) and Guadalajara (GDL) in Mexico, as well as Toronto (YYZ) in Canada. The Norwegian city of Stavanger (SVG) is also partially included in the North Atlantic route.
Four times a week, Lufthansa’s cargo planes cross the South Atlantic to connect Frankfurt with Campinas (VCP), Curitiba (CWB), and Recife (REC) in Brazil, Buenos Aires (EZE) in Argentina, and Montevideo (MVD) in Uruguay.
Additionally, there are four weekly rotations to the Mediterranean region, connecting the Egyptian capital Cairo (CAI) and the Israeli metropolis Tel Aviv (TLV) with Frankfurt.
Winter Flight Schedule Effective October 25
The winter flight schedule will take effect on October 25. In addition to the freighter offerings, Lufthansa Cargo also markets the cargo capacities of over 3,000 weekly flights from Lufthansa, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, and SunExpress.
