10. November 2020Jungheinrich AG is paying its employees a Corona bonus for their outstanding performance during the pandemic. The special payment amounts to a total of 13.5 million euros. Employees will receive between 500 and 1,000 EUR per employee depending on purchasing power. However, management is excluded from the bonus.
(Hamburg) – Jungheinrich is paying its employees a Corona bonus this year. With this special payment, Jungheinrich thanks its global workforce for their outstanding performance during the Corona crisis and acknowledges the additional burden on the staff due to the pandemic.
“The Corona pandemic is the largest medical and economic crisis since World War II. It is our employees who, through their tireless commitment, have ensured that Jungheinrich has weathered this crisis relatively well so far. For this, the board, supervisory board, and shareholder families express their gratitude to the colleagues,” says Dr. Lars Brzoska, Chairman of the Board of Jungheinrich AG. “With this one-time bonus, we want to acknowledge the commitment of our employees and show appreciation for the additional burden caused by the crisis. We are proud of the extraordinary dedication of our team. With this team, we will also master all upcoming challenges.”
The Corona bonus will be paid to all Jungheinrich employees who joined the company before July 1, 2020. The payment will be made in December. Excluded from the bonus are the company’s management. The amount of the special payment per employee ranges worldwide from 500 to 1,000 euros and is based on the purchasing power of the respective country. The total amount that the group is providing for this gesture of recognition is 13.5 million euros.
