20. November 2020The real estate consultant InProReal has brokered a location for the new central warehouse of Hummel Möbelverleih GmbH. The approximately 10,000 m2 large property is located in Poing near Munich and will be built on a site owned by the logistics real estate developer Logicor.
(Aschheim near Munich) InProReal has brokered a location for the new central warehouse of Hummel Möbelverleih GmbH in Poing near Munich. The property will have a size of around 10,000 square meters, divided into storage and office spaces. “This is already the third project we have completed for Hummel Möbelverleih. I am very pleased with the long-standing trust that Managing Director Florian Weidenbach has placed in us,” comments Samuel Recca, Managing Director of the real estate consultancy InProReal.
Logicor Aims to Optimize Site Size
The new logistics building will be constructed on an existing Logicor site. Logicor is one of the largest owners and operators of modern logistics and distribution properties in Europe. “InProReal has found the perfect tenant for our high-quality and, above all, sustainable new construction project in Poing with Hummel. We are pleased about the coherent expansion and optimization of this location,” explains Alexander Schmid, Head of Development Germany at Logicor. The owner and developer aims for a very good BREEAM certification. Among other things, photovoltaic modules and a green outdoor area are planned.
Hummel Unites Logistics Under One Roof
The future tenant of the new logistics building, Hummel Möbelverleih, provides equipment for trade fair stands to shareholder meetings with 10,000 participants. With the new warehouse in Poing, Hummel Möbelverleih is consolidating three locations. These include the previous main warehouse in Parsdorf and two smaller sites. Weidenbach explains the advantages of the new location: “We are pleased to offer our employees more attractive workplaces at the new location in Poing. At the same time, we save on commuting between the warehouses and can respond to inquiries more quickly.”
Completion of the New Building Planned for 2021
The completion of the new building is planned for the end of 2021. The property will be located only two kilometers from the Kirchheim motorway junction to the A 99 and one kilometer from the Parsdorf junction to the A 94. Access to the public transport network is ensured by the Heimstetten S-Bahn station.
