23. November 2020CIM GmbH will manage the automatic and manual warehouse of Gebrüder Limmert AG, one of the leading electrical wholesalers in Austria, with the software Prolag®World in the future. An app for transport management is also integrated.
(Fürstenfeldbruck/Salzburg) The Warehouse Management System (WMS) PROLAG®World will in the future control the automatic and manual warehouse as well as the transport management of Gebrüder Limmert AG. The company is one of the most significant electrical wholesalers in Austria, making it a big player in a constantly changing market. Therefore, Limmert has high expectations for the new WMS in terms of independence, flexibility, dynamism, and future security.
“We are part of a technological market that requires flexible and dynamic responses,” explains Alexander Stabauer, project manager of Gebrüder Limmert AG. With PROLAG®World, they feel well-equipped for these challenges. Covering approximately 14,200 m² of total area, the modular WMS from CIM GmbH will manage over 25,000 items. It manages the manual warehouse, conveyor technology, transport and route management, as well as a future AutoStore® warehouse.
Integrated Dashboard
Functions such as the integrated dashboard and the business intelligence tool ensure transparency in the warehouse and enable quick and flexible responses to changing key figures in the warehouse. The picking control system PROLAG®Go manages the automatic and manual warehouse processes and ensures optimal travel paths. This allows orders to be processed faster and more efficiently.
With the self-developed and integrated interface tool PROLAG®World Converter, the warehouse management system is securely integrated into the existing IT landscape. There will be interfaces to the ERP system SHCware®, the document management system DocuWare, the conveyor technology, and the automatic small parts warehouse AutoStore®.
Transport Management App
With a transport management app, CIM GmbH not only ensures dynamically optimized warehouse management but also efficient tour planning and management. The app also specifies the correct loading sequence for the planned route. Additionally, it facilitates delivery for suppliers and recipients with features such as proof of delivery without documentation or photo documentation.
