23. November 2020The real estate developer Panattoni reports a successful annual balance despite the Corona pandemic. Investments in Germany ensure high customer satisfaction. Panattoni has been awarded by PropertyEU Magazine as the most successful project developer for the fourth time across Europe.
(Hamburg) Panattoni, the leading project developer for industrial and logistics properties in Europe, presents a successful balance for the business year despite the socio-political effects of the Corona pandemic. In Germany, the developer already handed over 14 completed projects to its clients in 2020. More will be completed by the end of the year. This resulted in the developer creating an area of over 300,000 m² in Germany. A total of 21 new developments are already underway for 2021.
Investments in a Larger Sales Network
Investments in an expanded sales network with four branches in Germany and the strengthening of the team have paid off. These key factors contributed to higher performance and service quality. In particular, the collaboration with customers and partners on-site has been optimized. Additionally, the project developer further expanded its property management division, established in 2015. Until now, the portfolio of managed properties included projects realized by Panattoni itself. The developer now also offers to take over property management for external projects and partners in Germany. Recently, a contract was signed for the management of a portfolio of four properties. Besides developments for the logistics and industrial sector, Panattoni has achieved further important milestones in the German market with its innovative urban business parks. The project developer is realizing another project at the Berlin Falkensee location in addition to the “City Dock” Berlin Spandau. The innovative business parks are a desperately needed solution for urban space shortages and provide users from various industries with flexible and modularly divisible spaces starting from 700 sqm.
Grateful for Development in a Difficult Year
Fred-Markus Bohne, Managing Partner at Panattoni, summarizes the year as follows: “In light of enormous economic and social restrictions due to the Corona pandemic, we are grateful for our development in this difficult year. The pandemic has required a lot of adaptability from us and our partners, from maintaining contact to restructuring project processes and keeping projects on track to successfully and timely complete them. We have achieved this through communication with our partners and dedicated crisis management, allowing us to look optimistically into the coming year despite all caution. We want to be there for our customers in 2021 and grow together. We are already creating the conditions for this.” In addition to the projects developed in Germany, Panattoni has also celebrated outstanding successes at the European level. Once again, Panattoni ranks first in the list of leading project developers for logistics properties in Europe published by the trade magazine PropertyEU. The ranking, which covered the period from 2017 to 2019, included a total of fourteen developers. With the handover of a total of 6.31 million sqm of logistics and industrial space across Europe, Panattoni developed twice as much space as the No. 2 on the list and has already been awarded as the largest developer in Europe for the fourth time. Panattoni continues to prove itself as a reliable and competent project developer in the European market.
