24. November 2020The Franconian sports retailer Intersport Wohlleben optimizes its picking processes in the rapidly growing online trade with the modular warehouse management software from LogControl and hardware from Panda Products. The latter two are part of the MHP Solution Group, a provider of logistics software and hardware in the DACH region.
(Neustadt am Rübenberge) Intersport Wohlleben ships up to 300 packages per day, primarily picked at the Dörfles-Esbach location, but also at the Lichtenfels branch. To replace the previous picking solution with paper lists, the company sought suitable suppliers for software and hardware. “For us as a medium-sized company, LogControl and Panda Products are the right partners with whom we can communicate quickly, smoothly, and competently on an equal footing,” explains Michael Dorst, Technical Director at Intersport Wohlleben. With the new solution, they will “pick without documents and error-free”.
Interfaces to the ERP System
LogControl WHM is connected to the ERP system Advarics and the multichannel e-commerce management software Globalsys via existing standard interfaces at Intersport Wohlleben. Orders generated through Amazon, Check24, eBay, Zalando, and their own online shop are forwarded from Globalsys to Advarics and the LogControl WHM. The WHM then sends the generated picking orders directly to the mobile scanners of the Zebra MC3300 type. Up to five pickers are guided optimally to the respective shelf compartment and scan the barcodes at the storage location and on the item with each goods removal. The pickers weigh the packages and then photograph them with the integrated camera in the scanner. “By following this procedure, we can almost completely eliminate errors, significantly reducing the number of returns,” expects Dorst. For printing the shipping labels, Panda Products provides a thermal direct printer of the type Zebra Zt411.
