2. December 2020The software developer w3logistics installs the new warehouse management system w3/max at Thüringer Kühlhäuser GmbH. This includes special functions for the frozen food industry. The new system features a modernized user interface.
(Dortmund) Thüringer Kühlhäuser GmbH has been successfully operating in the market since 1990. At its four locations in Erfurt, Weimar, Ebeleben, and Grimmenthal, cold storage facilities are operated that offer a variety of services in the area of temperature-controlled storage of food. In addition to standard services in the frozen food sector, the company specializes in the storage and particularly in the freezing and thawing of high-quality food products.
As a software specialist for frozen logistics, w3logistics AG offers a warehouse management system that is already in use in a number of frozen storage facilities. In addition to the basic functions of such a system, w3/max also provides special functionalities for the frozen food industry, which prove themselves daily in the special requirements of this user group.
New Modern Warehouse Management System
As part of this project, the long-standing customer’s aging warehouse management system from w3logistics has been replaced by a new modern system. From now on, the standard WMS w3/max 2020 will be used, which has been customized to meet the client’s needs. The existing functions have been retained as accurately as possible on a purely functional level. The modernized interface results in some deviations in the operation of the software. Task-oriented screen masks and role-based processes of the new WMS ensure high performance through intuitive user guidance. Thus, the new w3/max can be efficiently used in the numerous time-consuming and labor-intensive applications in the warehouse.
Flexible Software
“The collaboration with w3logistics has worked very well again. Due to the constantly increasing customer requirements, we need software that is flexible and can be easily adapted to new demands. We have found this with the w3/max logistics suite and continue to use it successfully at our locations,” reports Dr. Joachim Pfotenhauer, Managing Director of Thüringer Kühlhäuser.
