14. January 2021The Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG introduces the new modular compact conductor VCL (VAHLE COMPACT LINE) to the global market. The VCL is designed as an all-in-one solution for shuttle systems, automatic small parts warehouses (AKL), and stacker cranes (RGB), as well as for compact shifting and transfer cart applications in the small to medium performance range.
(Kamen) “The intralogistics industry demands increasingly dynamic storage solutions. We provide the basis for this with innovative products for safe signal and power supply, such as our new safety compact conductor VAHLE COMPACT LINE – short VCL,” says Rüdiger Jour, product manager at the VAHLE Group. The solution is specifically designed for use in shuttle systems, AKL and RBG applications, as well as in shifting and transfer cart applications in the small to medium performance range due to its modular and compact design.
Individual Configuration
“It stands out from other systems particularly due to its modularity, scalability, and easy assembly,” emphasizes Jour. Depending on the application case, the VCL can be individually configured, making it a multifunctional solution for the continuous power supply of logistics applications that ensures maximum system availability. The VCL is available in 2- to 6-pole configurations and meets performance requirements between 40 amperes with a galvanized steel conductor and up to 100 amperes with a copper conductor, as well as voltages in a range from 12 to 500 volts. Furthermore, the VCL is compatible with the proven VAHLE Multi-Carrier (VMT). The combination of conductor and multi-carrier creates a cost-effective and compact solution for various warehouse technology applications with large suspension distances of up to 3.5 meters.
Easy and Quick Assembly
Another advantage: The simple and quick assembly using clip technology and the low variety of components keep installation costs low. Particularly durable carbon brushes also avoid high expenses for maintenance and servicing, which reduces the total costs of ownership (TOC). This provides VAHLE with a cost-effective and scalable solution for demanding applications such as multi-channel e-commerce. The ultra-compact design even allows for uncomplicated installation within a shuttle rail. As with all VAHLE products, safety is also the top priority with the VCL: A touch protection according to IP2x (finger protection and protection against foreign objects) as well as an optional PE protective conductor guarantee trouble-free and accident-free operation.
