Initial successes in southern Germany motivate the start-up to roll out nationwide this year. driveMybox is anything but a freight exchange. The Hamburg-based company offers a completely digital platform where clients and service providers can easily and securely handle transports, free of charge.
(Hamburg) driveMybox digitizes the entire transport process from price inquiry to scheduling and billing. Customers can book online at fair prices. Live tracking, automatic payment processing, direct communication, and digital documents are just some of the advantages. This ensures more flexibility and transparency in container trucking. “Based on a modern cloud platform, we develop optimization procedures and machine learning algorithms that create many added values for our users,” says co-founder Dr. Leonard Heilig. He is responsible for the technical development of the platform, AI, and cloud infrastructure.
Book with a Few Clicks
Any company wishing to transport a container by truck can book in just a few clicks via the platform. Similar to booking a flight, the process is quick and easy. Registered drivers on the other side receive optimized transport orders via push notification directly on their smartphones.
So far, the digitization of truck container transport has mainly relied on isolated solutions and delayed information exchange. This often resulted in significant efficiency losses and costly manual tasks. With driveMybox, this is coming to an end.
Revenue in the Eight-Digit Range
Co-founder Aaron Spandehra is confident: “The intuitive handling and simple processing are just some of the many features that impress across the board. Due to the positive business developments last year, we plan to achieve revenue in the eight-digit range in 2021.” With the digitization of the transport chain as an all-in-one solution, the Hamburg-based company aims to optimally organize container transport and efficiently process orders. Empty trips, unproductive waiting, and lack of transparency can be avoided in the future. Independent truckers and transport companies also benefit from an app-based, paperless, simple, and fast processing.
Booking and processing for import and export transports is currently possible via the transshipment terminals in Munich, Nuremberg, Ulm, and Kornwestheim. Starting in 2021, with the Port of Hamburg as the next milestone, the business area will be expanded from south to north.
