6. February 2021HeavyTrailer AG from Dortmund, specialized in the rental, sale, and vehicle design of special semi-trailers, has expanded its fleet with the new ‘STEPSTAR’ series. In December, HT-Service GmbH was successfully established as a new Goldhofer service station.
(Memmingen/Dortmund) Founded in 2007, HeavyTrailer AG sees itself as a competent partner in the field of special semi-trailers. Beyond offering rental and sales, the company has also positioned itself strongly in the used vehicle market. “Our strongest business area remains vehicle rental,” says Dennis Arns, board member of HeavyTrailer AG, “therefore, we have ordered 3 low-bed trailers of the new ‘STEPSTAR’ series from Goldhofer, which we have now been able to incorporate into our rental fleet.”
Three to five axle versions
The trailing axle semi-trailers from Goldhofer are available in three to five axle versions, with or without telescopic stages, and offer transport companies proven high Goldhofer quality at attractive conditions. The vehicles impress with intelligent details, such as an efficient load securing concept, easy operation, and a new ramp generation that can be operated via remote control and can be quickly and easily assembled and disassembled. Additionally, the entire loading area is equipped with a wear-resistant polymer coating “TraffideckGO” developed in collaboration with Goldhofer. This saves additional weight and reduces the loading height to 780 mm with 205 tires or 855 mm with 245 tires. The new ‘STEPSTAR’ series also features an extra-long and wide excavator boom trough with a rear-open design, allowing for the easy accommodation of larger excavator booms.
No detail is left to chance
“No detail is left to chance,” says Robert Steinhauser, Head of Sales Goldhofer Europe/North Africa, “we have developed a vehicle family that allows our customers the widest possible range of applications and thus operates economically and flexibly in a payload range of up to 52 tons in Germany.”Dennis Arns adds: “The new ‘STEPSTAR’ series has a very low tare weight, which is noticeable with a significant increase in payload. Due to the use of many premium components, the total operating costs are expected to be lower than comparable vehicles, which significantly relieves any fleet and extends maintenance intervals. Furthermore, the well-thought-out securing concept, easy operation, and flexible conversion options provide a high level of safety and economy, which is of great importance to our customer base.”
