8. February 2021The mobility service provider DKV Euro Service is now the first certified provider outside of Italy to offer toll services there. After a successful pilot phase, the Italian highway operators have approved the DKV BOX ITALIA for toll billing for trucks and buses > 3.5 t.
(Ratingen/Rome) The DKV toll solution is ready for use and can already be ordered. “We are very pleased and grateful that we can offer our customers the first dedicated toll solution for Italy,” says Jérôme Lejeune, Managing Director of Toll at DKV Euro Service. “This allows us to meet the needs of national carriers in particular. The DKV Box Italia is based on technology and hardware from the Norwegian technology provider NORBIT, with whom we have found a very reliable and professional partner that we are very excited about.” Specially marked toll lanes indicate to the driver which lane the DKV Box Italia can be used in.
In the near future, the interoperable DKV BOX EUROPE – which is currently in the pilot phase – is also expected to be approved for Italy, covering eleven toll systems.
