20. February 2021Lorenzo Stoll has been appointed the new SWISS Head of Swiss WorldCargo. He will take on his new role on April 1. He succeeds Ashwin Bhat, who will take on new responsibilities as Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Cargo on March 1. Lorenzo Stoll is currently the head of Western Switzerland at SWISS and is responsible for the business and operations in Geneva.
(Zurich) Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has appointed Lorenzo Stoll (49) as the new head of the air freight department of Swiss WorldCargo. He will assume his new position and report to CFO Markus Binkert on April 1. He succeeds Ashwin Bhat, who will take on new responsibilities as Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Cargo on March 1.
With SWISS since 2013
Lorenzo Stoll joined SWISS in 2013 as head of Western Switzerland and has since achieved the turnaround of the Geneva business and operations together with his team. With his extensive experience in the consumer goods sector, his innovative flair, and his strong customer orientation, Lorenzo Stoll has further improved product and service quality. His success in Western Switzerland has been supported by the extensive use of SWISS’s advanced and efficient Airbus A220 fleet from Geneva. Under his leadership, SWISS has created over 200 new jobs at the Geneva location.

Successor in Geneva is being sought
Lorenzo Stoll came to SWISS from Nestlé, where he spent the last 12 years in international management positions in various business areas in Vevey, Frankfurt, and Paris. Previously, he was Sales & Marketing Manager at Montreux-Vevey Tourism. A graduate of the Ecole Hôtelière in Lausanne, he was born in Zurich and grew up mainly in Western Switzerland. Lorenzo Stoll is married.
The search for Stoll’s successor to oversee SWISS’s key Geneva market is already underway.
