22. February 2021Effective January 1, 2021, MHP Solution Group, a leading provider of end-to-end logistics software and hardware solutions in the DACH region, has acquired AZS-ZOB GmbH based in Albstadt. With this new addition, customers can now benefit from a fully SAP-programmed software solution for preference calculation and the associated supplier declaration management.
(Neustadt am Rübenberge) With the expertise of AZS-ZOB, MHP Solution Group expands its foreign trade competence. This makes the provider the only logistics software company that can serve both SAP and non-SAP customers, as well as large clients with heterogeneous IT landscapes. Just 12 months ago, MHP Solution Group acquired part of the then AZ-ZOB GmbH and integrated it into its own portfolio as AZ GmbH.
End-to-End Solutions from a Single Source
With the remaining AZS-ZOB GmbH, the SAP division now also comes under the ownership of MHP Solution Group. This brings the company closer to its vision of offering customers forward-looking end-to-end solutions from a single source. Preference calculation is a method for determining the origin characteristics of a product. By establishing the origin characteristics, manufacturers or exporters can claim preferential treatment and benefit from reduced duty rates, for example.
In addition, AZS-ZOB offers SAP-integrated solutions for compliance, export controls, as well as import and export declarations via the IT procedure ATLAS. A tool for tariff classification and maintaining master data is also integrated. All modules are operational in both ERP and S4HANA.
Continuation of the Growth Path
With this further company acquisition, MHP Solution Group, based in Neustadt am Rübenberge near Hanover, continues its growth path and employs over 300 people in eleven subsidiaries. Of these, eleven locations are in Germany and one in Spain. The new addition is assigned to the Business Unit Customs, which includes solutions for foreign trade, export, and compliance. Other product areas of MHP Solution Group focus on warehouse, shipping, and transport, forming the so-called “MHP Simple Chain” with the Customs area. This allows customers to benefit from a suitable solution at every point in the supply chain, as well as the necessary expertise and solution competence.

Jasmino Burkic: CEO MHP Solution Group
“With the acquisition of AZS-ZOB GmbH, we are consistently pursuing our strategy, which is not only focused on expansion but also on a broadly based solution competence,” explains Jasmino Burkic, CEO of MHP Solution Group. “The new member of our group completes our portfolio in the area of Customs and simultaneously expands our SAP expertise,” Burkic continues. “I am pleased that our expertise in preference calculation and SAP, built up since 1996, is now part of the strong MHP Solution Group.
Long-Term Planning Basis for Customers
“This provides our customers with a long-term perspective and planning basis,” emphasizes Thomas Pittasch, who has reinvested his proceeds from the sale of the company into MHP Solution Group. This clearly demonstrates his commitment to the long-term orientation of the MHP portfolio.
Founded in 1999, MHP Solution Group has been consistently expanding its portfolio through company acquisitions for several years: MHP Software formed the starting point in 1991. In 2010, TIA was integrated, and in 2013, the MHP Solution Center in Spain. In 2016, Aisys and BNS were added. In 2019 and 2020, LogControl, KDL, Panda Products, AZ, and Transdata followed. At the same time, the corporate group is developing a logistics suite with a business intelligence approach that connects data from all solutions. This enables customers to manage the entire supply chain based on key figures and in real-time.
