22. February 2021The express service provider trans-o-flex, specialized in pharmaceutical products, has extended the contract with CEO Wolfgang P. Albeck early until March 31, 2024. Since Albeck’s entry, the company has been in the black and increased its revenue to 515 million euros in 2020.
(Weinheim) Wolfgang P. Albeck will remain the CEO of trans-o-flex, which specializes in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and other sensitive goods sectors, for the next three years. His contract, which was originally set to run until March 2022, has been extended early until March 31, 2024. Albeck has been the chairman of the management board since April 2017. “It was primarily due to Albeck’s implementation of two strategic decisions that trans-o-flex has regained the trust of its customers after difficult years and has proven itself, especially during the Corona crisis,” says Christoph Schoeller from the trans-o-flex shareholder circle of the Amberger and Schoeller families. “On the one hand, it was the uncompromising focus on quality.
On the other hand, the profile as an express service provider and as a provider of industry-specific logistics solutions has been sharpened, impressively demonstrating its system relevance for the supply of medicines in Germany.” Since Albeck joined the management, the company has been profitable again and increased its revenue by four percent to 515 million euros in the challenging Corona year 2020.
Preparing for the Future
“The longer I am at trans-o-flex, the more I enjoy working here because I see the progress we are making,” says Albeck. “My goal is to make the company, which has been in existence for 50 years this year, fit for the future so that trans-o-flex continues to bring joy to its customers, employees, and shareholders for the next 50 years.” Before joining trans-o-flex, Albeck held numerous senior positions in the parcel and express organization at Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) since 1997. Prior to that, the trained freight forwarding merchant worked for about ten years at TNT Express. Albeck began his career at medium-sized forwarding companies. In addition to Albeck, Michael Schmidt, who is responsible for finance and administration, continues to be part of the management of trans-o-flex.
