(Ratingen) The mobility service provider DKV launched the digital assistant for logistics, DKV LIVE, in August of last year. In addition to track & trace functionalities, digital route and fuel stop planning, and a live portal with real-time data, DKV LIVE now also offers a freight search function. Under the term “Freight,” DKV LIVE consolidates the offerings of several freight exchanges.
Avoiding Empty Trips and Saving CO2
“Avoiding empty trips is a major issue for our customers,” says Manuel von Mohrenschildt, Director Partner & Solution Sales at DKV. “We are pleased that we were able to win the operators of the freight exchanges Coyote, Saloodo, and Trans.EU for a collaboration.” DKV LIVE customers can now view and book all available transport orders depending on the location of the vehicles through the Freight module. This way, empty trips can be significantly reduced, efficiency within the fleet can be greatly increased, and additional orders can be generated with a single click. Initially, this offer for DKV LIVE is available in the German-speaking region. However, the service is expected to be offered throughout Europe in the near future.

DKV connects 350 gas stations in Kazakhstan
350 New Gas Stations Connected in Kazakhstan
The cross-border infrastructure project “New Silk Road” between China and Europe generates new goods flows. DKV Euro Service has adapted to this and expanded its supply network by connecting 350 gas stations in Kazakhstan. Customers can already obtain high-quality fuels cashless throughout the Gazpromneft network. Additionally, all truck-compatible stations of many other local brands such as Helios and Sinooil are now connected to the DKV acceptance network.
“The dynamic development of transport routes along the New Silk Road offers diverse opportunities for our customers. With this step, we have further optimized our network and now fully cover all important routes,” explains Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services at DKV. “With fuel prices of around 40 euro cents at our premium gas stations, we warmly welcome our customers in Kazakhstan,” adds Fedor Velikanov, DKV Supplier Country Manager Eurasia.
Kazakhstan is Becoming an Increasingly Important Hub
Kazakhstan, the largest landlocked country in the world, is increasingly becoming an important hub for the flow of goods from China to countries in Europe and West Asia due to its favorable geographical location. Kazakhstan plays a key role in two economic corridors under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). These are two of the six components of the Silk Road Economic Belt, which unites the land routes of the BRI: 1) the new (or second) Eurasian land bridge with endpoints in Lianyungang in China’s Jiangsu province and Rotterdam in the Netherlands, and 2) the China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor between the autonomous province of Xinjiang in western China and Iran and Turkey.
