The 54-year-old manager complements the management previously represented by Doreen Paesold-Runge. (Zwickau) Before joining Weck+Poller, Heiko Nowak was under contract for 13 years with the globally operating logistics service provider Rhenus as a member of the management board. Previously, he worked for several years for the logistics provider Fiege and the Tengelmann Group.
Wide Range of Services
“As a regional logistics company with three divisions: warehousing, transport, and recycling/production, Weck+Poller offers a wide range of services. I find it very exciting to refine, further develop, and expand this potential in Saxony and the neighboring federal states. I look forward to the flexibility and speed of a medium-sized company, where I can work with our employees to directly translate our customers’ challenges into solutions,” says Heiko Nowak, who has been the managing director of Weck+Poller since the beginning of the year.
Various Challenges in the Environment
He sees the current major challenges in the industry as the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the shortage of drivers, and digitalization. “Finding the right answers to these issues will particularly occupy us this year. It is encouraging that training has always held a high priority at Weck+Poller,” says Heiko Nowak. “We are convinced that Weck+Poller has gained an excellent managing director in Heiko Nowak, who will sustainably strengthen the company and successfully lead it into the future. Heiko Nowak combines many years of experience as a managing director of internationally operating companies with regional industry expertise in Central Germany. Additionally, he has proven know-how in the field of contract logistics. I am very much looking forward to our collaboration,” says Doreen Paesold-Runge, managing director of Weck+Poller.
