13. March 2021In Bruges, Belgium, TGW is expanding the existing fulfillment center of DASSY professional workwear with a highly automated FlashPick® system. The specialist in work and professional clothing can thus accelerate deliveries and increase the productivity of its processes. This lays the foundation for DASSY’s growth in the coming years. The new highly automated solution is set to go into operation in the summer of 2021.
(Marchtrank/Bruges) DASSY professional workwear was founded in 2007. As one of the leading European brands for high-quality work and professional clothing, the company has 45 years of experience. DASSY is now active in 20 countries and supplies more than 1,000 specialized retailers. The product range is designed for various sectors – from logistics to crafts to road construction. The distribution center in Bruges always has around 800,000 items in stock: whether work jackets and trousers, protective equipment, or safety shoes.
Maximum Flexibility
TGW is expanding the existing intralogistics with FlashPick® – the smart complete solution for automatic single-item picking. The accelerated throughput allows for faster delivery and later order acceptance. In the incoming goods area, a TGW robot first automatically opens all incoming boxes before they are placed on trays and stored in the three-aisle shuttle system with more than 50,000 storage locations. Orders come to PickCenter One picking workstations and from there to the shipping area. “The TGW solution combines high performance with intelligent software and high reliability,” explains Hans de Sutter, Managing Director at TGW Benelux. “FlashPick® enables DASSY to respond flexibly to changes in order structure or customer behavior, thus laying the foundation for planned growth.”
