(Güglingen) A quick look at the numbers makes the dimensions of the expansion clear: The storage and logistics area has increased from just over 1,500 square meters to now 3,750 m2. Additionally, around 1,000 m2 of office and social spaces are available in a two-story extension. In the new building, the service department now has state-of-the-art workplaces with high health protection standards. There, AFRISO handheld measuring devices will also be serviced in the future, which are used by HVAC craftsmen and chimney sweeps.
AFRISO has invested around 6.5 million euros in the new logistics center at the Güglingen site. This is associated with significantly expanded storage capacities and the use of the latest digital technology for efficient processes.
State-of-the-art Working Conditions for Employees
AFRISO employees will find state-of-the-art and significantly improved working conditions – from the service area for device maintenance to the packing stations in the warehouse.
The storage capacity is growing even more significantly, as the number of available pallet spaces is nearly tripling: from 1,200 to over 3,500 spaces. The new building is intended for AFRISO to ship finished products worldwide. The new logistics center operates in two shifts to fully meet the high demands of national and international customers for short and reliable delivery times. The vacated previous logistics areas will be used for the optimization and redesign of the production areas, including the expansion of the in-house plastic injection molding facility.
The managing directors Elmar and Jürgen Fritz see the new building and the associated investment as a clear commitment to the region and to the location in Germany. “At the German locations, especially in Güglingen, we will gradually expand the production of high-quality equipment for building services in the long term,” emphasizes Elmar Fritz.
