(Bremen; Fischamend/A) The long-term collaboration between the two companies includes the rental of two halls, with a total of 8,000 m² of warehouse space, approximately 1,000 m² of office space, and 700 m² of social areas. Swissport’s early decision underscores the advantages of this project, especially for companies in air freight logistics.
On the 30,000 m² site in the industrial area of the airport region, a total of three halls with an area of approximately 17,000 m² will be constructed. These will meet the latest logistics standards. Construction will start shortly, with completion planned for Q4/2021.
Sustainability was a Priority in Planning
Absolute priority in planning for DLH was the consideration of ecological measures as well as social sustainability. This ensures ideal and contemporary working and usage conditions, which is underscored by the DGNB Gold Standard certification of the ‘SkyLog Park Vienna’.
Henning Dieter, CEO of Swissport Cargo Services Germany and Austria, states: “Despite ongoing challenges for global aviation, air freight volumes have recovered and reached the levels of 2019 again. Our business at the Vienna location has also developed positively. We are proud of our dedicated team and are pleased to announce the rental of our new warehouse. This step will support our further expansion in forwarder handling and bring significant benefits to our customers as well as our employees.”
One of the Desired Tenants
Christian Vogt, Managing Director of DLH Austria, adds: “We are pleased that Swissport, as one of our desired tenants, immediately recognized the advantages of our new project ‘SkyLog Park’ and that a long-term collaboration could be agreed upon even before construction began. This proves that this development offers an optimal location for air freight-oriented logistics companies with international structures.”
