28. March 2021The Austrian logistics service provider Gebrüder Weiss takes over the E-Fulfillment for the Swiss food and personal care manufacturer Mibelle. A direct webshop connection to the warehouse logistics of Gebrüder Weiss has been installed. This allows all parties involved to view shipments in real time. Deliveries are carried out for the entire D-A-CH region.
(Lauterach/A; Buchs/CH) Last year, Gebrüder Weiss took over the E-Fulfillment for the Mibelle Group in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The Mibelle Group develops and produces brands and private labels for retail in the fields of Personal Care & Beauty, Home Care, and Nutrition. The cooperation includes the complete logistics and IT processing of the customer’s online orders and has developed from the already existing warehousing business for the company in spring 2020. Based on the new digital customer portal myGW, all parties in the supply chain – from the supplier to the end customer – can access all important information about a shipment – around the clock and in real time.
Shipment Tracking Ensures Transparency
So far, Gebrüder Weiss has implemented warehouse logistics for the Mibelle Group at locations in Tyrol/Austria and Basel/Switzerland. Since spring 2020, the logistics provider has organized the complete E-Fulfillment with around 100 deliveries weekly to shops and end customers in the German-speaking region. “Due to the long-standing IT experience of Gebrüder Weiss, our webshop was quickly and easily connected to the warehouse management system,” says Martin Böse, Head of Central Supply Chain Services at Mibelle Group. “A real-time inventory overview, the fulfillment status in the warehouse, and a universally integrable tracking link for shipment tracking ensure great transparency. This allows us to impress our customers, who always want to stay informed.” The digital service with fast online shop connection, handling of ordered goods in the logistics warehouses, and distribution via the parcel service DPD Austria goes hand in hand with physical services: Gebrüder Weiss also implemented so-called Value Added Services for the Mibelle Group in warehouse management. These include, for example, the inclusion of vouchers, product samples, and other promotional materials, as well as the procurement of ecological packaging.
