6. April 2021Effective April 1, 2021, Christian Möhrmann (39) will take overall responsibility for all commercial matters of HGK Shipping GmbH, which operates a fleet of around 300 owned and chartered vessels with approximately 1,000 employees.
(Cologne) In his role, Christian Möhrmann will complement the management team around CEO Steffen Bauer and will lead the areas of accounting, controlling, and insurance, among others.
Mr. Möhrmann will take over responsibilities from Walter Steinig, who will leave the management at the end of May and retire. Mr. Steinig has been with the company since his career start in 1987, working in various positions and significantly contributing to the business and financial success.

We are pleased to have found a competent successor in Mr. Möhrmann, who will support us in the future development of HGK Shipping within the HGK Group.”
Walter Steinig’s successor, Christian Möhrmann, worked for several years as a finance expert in M&A at Deloitte and E.ON in various leadership positions in finance, most recently for Imperial Logistics International and StepStone.
