5. April 2021With the transition to the HABBL App from Fleetboard Logistics, ROSSMANN Logistics has simplified store deliveries. No training effort, flexible processes, easy unloading scans, understandable user guidance, and individual workflows characterize the app.
(Burgwedel/Volkach) Through digital guidance and the intuitive operation of the HABBL App, ROSSMANN Logistics has significantly reduced the training effort for its truck drivers regarding the processes in store deliveries. After a brief introduction, new drivers can use the mobile software without any questions. With a digital workflow that specifies each work step, the drugstore chain has been able to significantly simplify the previously complex processes. In addition, logistics managers now have the ability to change processes themselves with just a few clicks, without programming. This allows them to quickly implement process changes.
Furthermore, the HABBL App also captures parameters relevant for billing with the contracted transport companies via mobile devices: driving distance and speed, standstill times, and vehicle position. Drivers working for the ROSSMANN-owned fleet also receive additional work instructions for refueling and vehicle maintenance, the successful completion of which is reported back to the company’s tour planning software.
Delivery and Unloading Scans Made Easier
At the start of the tour, the HABBL App takes over the destination address of the store into the navigation. For inquiries, the phone number of the sales outlet is also stored for a direct call. When delivering to stores that can only be accessed with a solo vehicle, the HABBL App now also manages the transfer from the trailer to the truck. On-site, the driver first checks via a barcode scan in the delivery area whether he has reached the store for which the goods are intended. The unloading scans of the used roll boxes also proceed significantly easier and faster with the new combination of hardware and software.
Returned empty containers are also recorded via the HABBL App. “For the delivery process, we have set up new status messages and cyclical events that allow us to log all activities,” reports Patrick Thonemann, project manager at Fleetboard Logistics. “With HABBL, we have simply digitized a previously complicated process and were able to implement the new workflows in a short time,” summarizes Stefanie Schwebke, head of Central Transport, Logistics at ROSSMANN Logistikgesellschaft mbH, satisfied.
