(Frankfurt/Main, April 14, 2021) Kombiverkehr KG strengthens its sales commitment with the appointment of Jouke Schaap (44) on the growing intermodal corridor to and from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Luxembourg. Schaap took up the new position as Head of Benelux in International Sales on March 1, 2021. Initially, his focus will be on expanding the recently integrated services to and from Mortara. The offerings are to be further tailored to the needs of customers from freight forwarding and logistics. New train services are also intended to attract companies that have not yet transported their goods and products by climate-friendly rail. “With Jouke Schaap, we now have an experienced intermodal manager on board who brings the necessary background for traffic expansion with his many years of experience and expertise,” says Managing Director Alexander Ochs confidently.
Since 2004, Jouke Schaap has worked in various management positions, including at Port of Rotterdam, APM Terminals, Peel Ports, and Shuttlewise B.V. He has held responsibilities as Director Breakbulk, Head of the Commercial Department, Port Director Container, and Managing Director. Schaap studied International Management at Haarlem Business School. He completed his Master’s degree in Business Administration at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
