(Weinheim) Jens Graefe (53) will strengthen the management of the express service provider trans-o-flex, which specializes in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, and other sensitive goods sectors, starting May 1, 2021. The experienced pharmaceutical logistics expert will take on the newly created position of Managing Director of Business Development. “trans-o-flex has not yet exhausted its growth potential,” says Wolfgang P. Albeck, CEO of the company. “With Graefe’s appointment, we are creating the conditions in management for further corporate growth.” According to Albeck, Graefe is specifically expected to open up further market niches for trans-o-flex. “It’s not about diluting our industry specialization and becoming a parcel service for everything,” emphasizes Albeck. “Rather, we want to leverage our proven specialized competencies to tap into profitable growth potentials with our core clientele as well as in adjacent areas.”
Service Experienced from the Customer’s Perspective
Graefe comes from the nationwide pharmaceutical wholesaler AEP, which he built up as CEO starting in October 2012. Previously, Graefe worked for several years as Head of M&A and Business Development for the Stuttgart-based pharmaceutical wholesaler Celesio (now McKesson Europe) and was employed at several consulting firms. In his last position at AEP, he got to know the service of trans-o-flex intensively from the customer’s perspective, as the wholesaler supplies all pharmacies in Germany overnight from a central warehouse. The pickup and nationwide distribution before 12 noon on the next working day is handled by trans-o-flex. “trans-o-flex proves every day how efficient the network is and has developed extremely positively over the last three years,” says Graefe. “That’s why I am looking forward to the opportunity to make the numerous strengths of this company usable for other areas as well and thus further expand the position of trans-o-flex in the German and European markets.”
