24. April 2021As of January 1, 2022, Jens Wollesen will join the board of Hellmann Worldwide Logistics as Chief Operating Officer (COO) alongside Reiner Heiken (CEO) and Martin Eberle (CFO). With the appointment of Jens Wollesen by the supervisory board and the resulting reallocation of responsibilities, the board is significantly strengthened.
(Osnabrück) In his new board position, he will be responsible for the four product segments Air, Sea, Road & Rail, and Contract Logistics, as well as the areas of IT & Digital. As chairman of the board, Reiner Heiken continues to lead the six regions of the Hellmann Group, as well as the areas of HR, Sales, Corporate Development, and Marketing & Communications. Martin Eberle has been responsible for the entire finance department, as well as Insurance and Legal & Compliance, as CFO since March 1, 2021. With the appointment of Jens Wollesen by the supervisory board and the resulting reallocation of responsibilities, the board is significantly strengthened. The company is thus creating the conditions for a stronger focus on the respective areas of responsibility in order to implement the ambitious growth targets.
Proven logistics expert
With Jens Wollesen, a proven and internationally experienced logistics expert has been secured for Hellmann. Mr. Wollesen is a graduate industrial engineer and has been a member of the board of BLG Logistics Group for the past five years, responsible for the area of contract logistics. Previously, he was a member of the management board of Kühne + Nagel Germany and Central Europe for twelve years, as well as a long-standing member of the management board of Stute Logistics. Jens Wollesen started his education and career at J.H. Bachmann in Bremen.
Growth strategy “Fit4Growth”
