CIM and Gilgen Logistics Analyze Warehouse Automation
29. April 2021Contargo Supports ECTA’s Call for Better E-Infrastructure
29. April 2021Dr. Malek Software GmbH has enhanced the modular transport management system M3 Logisticware with a realistic, reliable, and practical tour time planning for local transport. The ETA and ETD times (Estimated Time of Arrival and Departure) planned by M3 for each recipient are adjusted during the tour to the actual duration of the individual stops. The portal integrates subcontractors into the own fleet.
(Dresden) The logistics software developer Dr. Malek has supplemented his transport management system M3 with a tour time planning feature. Planners are comprehensively supported by M3 Logisticware during the tour planning process. The M3 Tour Time Planning module calculates the optimal order of stops, taking into account opening hours, country-specific holidays, and the peculiarities of the recipients. The M3 MapDispo module provides a clear map view. “The available practical knowledge of drivers and planners is digitized in M3 Logisticware and automatically utilized in the planning process,” says Malek. The software also keeps an eye on the total working hours of the drivers, ensuring that legal limits are not exceeded. M3 Logisticware performs the calculations either individually for each tour or via batch processing.
Also Developed: Carrier Portal M3
Dr. Malek Software has also further developed the M3 Carrier Portal introduced last year. The portal serves as a central data interface in the corporate design of the freight forwarder, compatible with any transport management or ERP system as well as any forwarding software. With the new features, external partners such as clients and subcontractors, as well as the company’s own drivers, are better integrated into the process chain. For example, order data can now be easily forwarded to subcontractors as a web link.
In addition to capturing and tracking shipments or providing labels, clients can now also upload delivery notes to the platform, which are automatically linked to the corresponding order data. The same applies to delivery receipts, which can now be uploaded by the company’s own drivers or subcontractors, significantly speeding up the billing process. Another innovation concerns the integration of data from the M3 Carrier Portal into the respective merchandise management system of the clients. Through a data link, shippers can retrieve the information relevant to them regarding the logistics process without having to log in to the platform.
30 Modules of “M3 Logisticware”
The M3 Tour Time Planning and the M3 Carrier Portal complete the extensive software portfolio of Dr. Malek. The now approximately 30 modules of the software family “M3 Logisticware” provide comprehensive solutions along the entire supply chain from shipper to recipient. The family-owned company, now in its second generation, offers transport management, forwarding, warehouse management, and telematics solutions for road freight transport from a single source. In-house mapping software for dispatching and extensive online offerings such as WebOrder, WebTracing, or WebBooking for ramp management round off the company’s expertise. Clients include transport companies, groupage forwarders, and shippers who have partially integrated M3 Logisticware completely into SAP. This is made possible by the modular software architecture and the individual customization of M3 Logisticware for each client.
