10. May 2021The Federal Association of Courier, Express, and Postal Services (BdKEP) e.V. and the Logistics Network Central Germany e.V. have signed a cooperation agreement. Mutual support and the transfer of know-how are intended to help promote joint projects as well as the further and new development of business models.
(Berlin/Leipzig) Companies in the parcel and logistics industry will work more closely together in Central Germany in the future. The networking of both industry associations is expected to lead to better exchange among the involved actors at the technical level. This will allow for better discussions about smart solutions for delivery in the city as well as in peripheral areas across the entire supply chain up to the last mile. Cooperation is also planned in the areas of pharmaceutical supply chains and personnel development.
Making a difference through collaboration
“The opportunity to make a difference for our industry is greatest when we work together,” says Andreas Schumann, Chairman of the Federal Association of Courier, Express, and Postal Services e.V., adding: “The last few months have shown that especially small and medium-sized enterprises can greatly benefit from exchange and collaboration in times of crisis. That’s why we are specifically expanding our cooperation network and now have a strong partner by our side in this region with the Logistics Network Central Germany.” Members of the Logistics Network Central Germany have already contributed to the BdKEP’s Corona Situation Center in recent months, providing current information from Saxony. “It quickly became clear that it makes sense to tackle common topics together beyond that. Our members will greatly benefit from the professional expertise of BdKEP and the attractive participation opportunities, such as at trade fairs and events,” says Toralf Weiße, Chairman of the Board of the Logistics Network Central Germany.
