21. May 2021TIMOCOM reports over 1 million pending truck freight orders
21. May 2021The mobility service provider DKV and the digital transport platform Trans.eu have agreed to a partnership. DKV provides access to the transport platform via the digital assistant DKV LIVE free of charge. The goal of the collaboration is to reduce empty trips and save CO2.
(Ratingen/Lauenau) The mobility provider DKV Mobility and Trans.eu, the digital logistics platform for land transport, have agreed on a close cooperation. Through DKV LIVE, DKV’s digital fleet and fuel assistant, customers now have free access to the Trans.eu platform. This brings the tasks of fleet and transport management even closer together through digital services. By combining both solutions, dispatchers can further optimize the deployment of vehicles.
Because DKV customers now benefit from the integrated load-matching function in Trans.eu: They receive freight offers based on the real-time transmitted vehicle position of the trucks. This allows freight carriers to avoid empty trips and plan transports in a route- and resource-optimized manner. A positive side effect: Through the position-optimized freight offers, DKV LIVE users save CO2 and thus protect the environment. They have access to the loads of over 40,000 users of the Trans.eu network across Europe. This means they also have access to the freight of verified Eastern European carriers beyond the DKV solution.
Price Forecasts Facilitate Negotiations
For concluding transport contracts for the freight offers, users of the DKV platform are directly redirected to the Trans.eu interface. There, they can use all the functions of the freight portal. This includes a price prediction algorithm that provides a quick overview of what prices can be achieved for certain transports on the open freight market. Price negotiations can be easily conducted via Trans.eu as well as through the platform’s internal messenger with automatic translation function. As a basis for this, users first see the details of a tendered freight and can contact the offering carrier. Once they have been awarded the contract, only the usual transaction costs on the platform apply for the mediation of the load. “One price for two digital platforms – DKV users have direct access to our freight pool without a subscription and only pay the transaction costs. It works quickly and easily,” emphasizes Bogdan Kosturek, Vice President of Technology and Product Development at Trans.eu. “With the linking of our two portals, our customers can now use their vehicles even more sustainably – as they can find loads that can be picked up very close to a truck much more easily. A win for the environment as well,” adds Manuel von Mohrenschildt, Director Partner & Solution Sales at DKV.
About DKV LIVE
The new digital portal DKV LIVE paves the way for digital fleet management. With DKV LIVE, users can continuously optimize the logistical effort for their dispatchers, drivers, and customers. They can see each individual truck in their fleet throughout the entire tour on a digital map. All important information is available at a glance in real-time: Through live tracking, DKV LIVE users know where their trucks are and how fast they are driving. This allows them to easily avoid inefficient processes during tour planning. In addition, all data is smoothly and comprehensively documented in a time-saving manner. With the route planner from DKV LIVE and the smart technology of the alarm manager, fleet managers can avoid unexpected delays. Tachograph data for displaying driving time violations can also be integrated into the tachograph manager to comply with legal requirements.
The DKV LIVE portal helps customers optimize their tour planning and thus save time, costs, and CO2. Furthermore, the solutions are intended to sustainably improve driving behavior and increase the utilization of trucks.
