31. May 2021André Wehner has been appointed Chief Information Officer (CIO) at MAN Truck & Bus. In this role, he will be responsible for the global IT of MAN Truck & Bus starting June 1, 2021, which includes the production plants, logistics centers, and the company’s national sales companies as user groups. Wehner succeeds Dr. Stephan Fingerling.
(Munich) As of June 1, 2021, André Wehner will take on the position of Chief Information Officer at MAN Truck & Bus. Digitalization plays a special role in the transformation of MAN, as it opens up entirely new opportunities and challenges for the transport industry. The megatrend of digitalization is a game changer for new business models and services. On the other hand, digitalization contributes to the optimization of internal processes.
“I am very pleased to have gained a highly experienced manager like André Wehner for this position, with whom we will further develop IT in line with the NewMAN strategy,” says Christian Schenk, Board Member for Finance, IT & Law at MAN Truck & Bus.
Previously at ŠKODA
Before joining MAN, André Wehner led the corporate development and digitalization department at ŠKODA AUTO for the past five years and was previously Chief Information Officer at the Czech car manufacturer for over three years. Under his leadership, the company has made significant strides in the areas of digitalization, mobility services, connectivity, and innovation management.
At MAN, André Wehner succeeds Dr. Stephan Fingerling, who is moving to Volkswagen Group IT Services GmbH as Managing Director. “I thank Stephan Fingerling for his great commitment, with which he has significantly aligned MAN’s IT for the future,” summarizes Christian Schenk, “I wish him much success in his new role.”
