16. June 2021‘Safety takes us home!’ This is the motto for the first Safety Week, which will take place from June 21 to June 27, 2021, in the companies of the HGK Group. The events, both in-person and online seminars or lectures, will cover various safety and health topics, such as first aid, occupational safety, workplace ergonomics, and a proper work-life balance.
(Cologne) A lived safety culture increases acceptance of the topic among employees. Safety at the workplace, accident prevention, minimizing health risks, and dealing with critical situations – the term occupational safety encompasses many areas and concerns all employees. ‘Our goal is to sharpen awareness among our employees with Safety Week. Everyone is addressed – from trainees to executives,’ explains Uwe Wedig, Chairman of the HGK Board, the reasons for this joint initiative.
Safety Training at Various Locations
At various locations, safety inspections, training sessions, and instructions or exercises will be conducted together with customers or fire departments, taking into account pandemic regulations. In addition, there is a joint program where all colleagues can participate digitally in lectures, seminars, and courses, regardless of their location in the office, workshop, or home office.
