From the start, the significant investments of the ten shareholders have paid off in the market. The excellent performance is underscored by valid data. Currently, the pharmaceutical network is preparing for expansion into the D-A-CH region.
(Biebesheim) “We have managed to achieve our set goals, despite the challenging conditions during the pandemic,” says Jürgen Oetzel, Managing Director of GDP network solutions GmbH. The focus is primarily on GDP compliance in the areas of temperature control, documentation, and quality assurance. The results are impressive: the network achieves a delivery reliability of 99.3 percent while maintaining an extremely low damage rate of 0.003 percent. “We were able to fully deliver on our quality promise to our customers,” comments Oetzel on these outstanding figures.
Intelligent IT System
Behind this is an intelligent IT system with software specifically developed for GDP network solutions, which the partner companies have implemented. A control tower provides all relevant data in real-time, including reports and potential activation of the 24/7 emergency management. A comprehensive quality management (QM) system is one of the essentials of GDP-compliant pharmaceutical logistics. The installation of a central QM for the network also includes the ongoing training of employees in the participating companies.
Jürgen Oetzel identifies the network structure of medium-sized specialists in pharmaceutical logistics as a key criterion for the success of GDP network solutions. According to Oetzel, these companies not only rank at the top in customer rankings for storage and distribution, but also offer a wide range of value-added services as outsourcing partners. With this unique selling proposition, the network can design tailored, individual solutions for each customer.

In pharmaceutical logistics, the core topics of quality and safety are inextricably linked. The high relevance of safety aspects applies across sectors: from the transport of sensitive goods to data security across all interfaces. To adequately represent this priority, GDP network solutions has complemented its logo. One year after the successful launch as an alternative in the German market, GDP network solutions is working on expansion in Europe. Currently, intensive discussions are taking place with potential partners in Austria. With further collaborations, the goal is to initially penetrate the D-A-CH region with pharmaceutical logistics expertise, and then to advance presence in additional countries.
