In this newly created position, he is responsible worldwide for the further development of the eCommerce product, which is assigned to the Contract Logistics segment. At the same time, Marc Wijnen continues to be responsible as Chief Operating Officer for the area of Contract Logistics Europe.
(Osnabrück) Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is restructuring its eCommerce division and appoints Marc Wijnen as Global Head of eCommerce. As an end-to-end provider, Hellmann is a business partner for customers around the world. The company already offers tailored solutions for the logistical planning and execution of the entire online business from a single source. In light of the ongoing boom in online business, which has been further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company is now strategically restructuring the eCommerce product segment.
The goal is to achieve sustainable growth, particularly in the fashion and lifestyle sectors, by offering solutions that cover the entire fulfillment process – from creating a web shop to warehousing and the development and integration of individual order management systems and payment services. As an integrated e-fulfillment partner, both B2C and B2B business will be expanded globally.
eCommerce Market Extremely Dynamic
“The eCommerce market is extremely dynamic. In order to meet the increasing demand from our customers for innovative solutions in the future, we are currently establishing a ‘Center of Excellence’ with Marc Wijnen as the global head of eCommerce, where we will consolidate our know-how and apply it worldwide.
