23. July 2021On July 1, 2021, Sven Matthes joined the international corporate group AsstrA-Associated Traffic AG as Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer. Mr. Matthes is responsible for the business strategy and growth of AsstrA. His responsibilities include sales and marketing, tender management, and the group’s business development.

During his studies at the University of Dresden, Sven Matthes began his logistics career at Lufthansa before moving to DB Schenker. After graduating, he continued at DB Schenker, rising from project management to a leadership position in the company’s European Global Project division.
Started the succession program this year
“In the last 7 years, I have had the honor of being both Chairman of the Board and CEO at AsstrA. As the company continues to grow, the board decided this year to start the succession program and to transfer the CEO role to Mr. Sven Matthes in the future. Mr. Matthes has over 25 years of experience in logistics. I am confident that his proven leadership skills and extensive expertise in global operations management will bring innovative approaches and ideas to the business. This will help us continue to be successful in today’s market. I am pleased to hand over the CEO role into capable hands.
